Children

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”
Matthew 19:14

Wednesday Afternoons

Methodist Midweek (M&M’s)

M&M’s is our community-wide after school program for children in Kindergarten through 5th grade. It runs from 3:30-5:00 p.m. on Wednesdays during the school year. Each week children are picked up by bus at Lexington Elementary School and dropped off at the church where they enjoy a snack, music, bible story, crafts, and outdoor recreation. We sincerely believe that your child will be blessed as they study God’s word each week with their friends! Before coming for the first time, please complete the registration form and return the portions indicated to the church and school. Please call the office if you’d like us to mail you a form or click here to register online. We hope your children can join us this year!

Nursery

From 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. nursery is in the Family Life Center classroom #1. From 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. nursery is located next to the kitchen in our Fellowship Hall. A paid childcare worker is present to provide safe loving childcare for infants and toddlers. Of course, we’d love for them to join us for worship too.

Sunday School

Our Sunday school for children ages 3 to 5th grade is from 10:30am-11:15am in the Fellowship Hall. The children will be introduced to a Bible story for the day, explore the lesson with crafts, enjoy a snack, and play games related to the Bible story. New Children are welcome at any time!

Children’s Church

Children’s Church is a special worship experience for children (ages 4-7) who wish to participate. The children will begin in the sanctuary. After the Children’s Sermon, the Children’s Church leaders will lead children into a Sunday School classroom where they will sing songs, hear a bible story, and do a hands-on activity to put their faith into action. Children participating in Children’s Church may be picked up in the classroom following the conclusion of the worship service.

Worship Activity Folders

Worship activity folders are available in the church entrance for to engage children in the worship service who wish to stay in the sanctuary with their families.

PrayGround at the Contemporary Service

We have a “Playground” set up in the first classroom in the Family Life Center where your children can do activities and be entertained during the service by our capable nursery care providers.

Vacation Bible School

Each summer we host a community-wide Vacation Bible School for children ages 3-5th grade. It usually meets in the evenings during a week in July. At VBS children will enjoy dinner, engaging music, an interactive Bible story, a craft, and outdoor recreation.

Christmas Pageant

Practices are held on Sunday’s during Sunday School (10:30am to 11:15 am).
